Dogs that desperately need to be rescued from GCARC
These desperate dogs are praying that someone will rescue them from Galveston Co. Animal Resource Center - a high-kill shelter in Texas City: 409 948-2485
Please do not confuse me with GCARC. I do NOT work at the shelter and I am not a volunteer with a rescue group. I am a realtor and I also work full-time at American National Insurance. I also do outreach at the juvenile detention center. I have four dogs, 2 cats, a wonderful, supportive husband, 2 daughters, a step daughter and 7 grandchildren. I do not have spare time. However, I just can not stand it that so many precious dogs are being euthanized, and after calling continuously to the GCARC, the Galveston Co. Health Dept. and everyone else that I could to try to implement change, I felt compelled to just go down to the shelter myself and start taking pictures of the dogs that were available. I try to do this every other week. It takes 2-3 hours to photograph and about 3-4 hours to upload. Plus, just answering the questions is pretty overwhelming. I cry a lot over these precious puppies. I am not standing outside with a sign, however I understand why people do this. I am simply trying to be a part of the solution in the best way that I can, with love. My husband and I rescued Rosco from GCARC and we love him so much. Thank God he is out of there. I pray over each dog and cat, and for everyone at the facility, volunteers and staff, animal control officers, the animal advisory board, the health dept, the city council members, especially the La Marque representative, the rescuers and over anyone that has anything to do with the Galveston County Animal Resource Center. May the good LORD help us all as only He can...I trust in Him and thank Him right now for the things that He has done and is going to do in the midst of this shelter situation and in the lives of everyone involved.
