PAWS Humane Society is a local, 501(c)3 non-profit animal welfare organization. We have an Adoption Center at PetCo & facility at 7282 CherryVale Mall Dr

1. Provide low cost spay/neuter to reduce pet overpopulation and its resulting cruelty
2. Assist in finding homes for adoptable animals
3. Provide humane education materials and programs to the community

A no-kill shelter supporting the Rockford Community.

We are a non profit organization run mostly by volunteers and funded completely by donations.
We have cats, dogs, and sometimes other small animals available for adoption.
We are 100% home fostered.
All cat adoptions include, micro chipping, current on shots, worming, rabies shot (if over four months old) test for Feline Leukemia (FeLV )and a two week, no risk trial adoption but with original adoption paper work we will take our pets back at any time if you are no longer able to keep them. We have a satellite cat center located inside PetCo at 6305 E. State St., Rockford IL. We also have the area's only cage-less shelter at 7282 N. CherryVale Mall Dr where we have several large enclosures and two community rooms!
All dog adoptions include rabies vaccine, distemper, hepatitis, parvo, para influenza vaccines, and kennel cough vaccine. All dogs are tested for heartworm and given flea and tick preventative.
