‘Hillier's Critter Sitting & Exotic Pet Rescue’ is a self-ran pet sitting service as well as a small scale individual pet rescue based in Fargo, ND.

Hello, my name is Amanda Hillier and I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. I have a lot of experience with all kind of pets and have owned numerous animals over the years, including, but not limited to: chinchillas, mice, hamsters, rabbits, horses, ferrets, turtles, cats, dogs, parakeets, iguanas, newts, goats, fish and more.

Atm this is what I have for my personal pets:
1 mouse, 2 brazilian short tail opossums, 1 lesser Tenrec, 3 degus, 2 cats, 4 fish, 1 hedgehog, 1 turtle, and LOTS of lizards lol (various types).

I raised show/pet rabbits for 7 years (had about 50); dwarf hamsters for 2 years and cichlid fish for a year. I have helped rehabilitate a white-tailed fawn, raccoon cubs, and several cottontail baby rabbits. I have assisted with foaling, a kidding (goat), and calving. I have also helped operate a petting zoo that had a kangaroo and other exotic pets.

In past years I have volunteered at the Circle of Friends Humane Society in Grand Forks, N.D., the Red River Zoo in Fargo, N.D., and at Critter Seed and Feed Pet Supply store in Moorhead, M.N.

Past pet related jobs: PetSmart (Pet Care Associate), Pets-R-Inn (Kennel Cleaner/Pet Specialist), Petco (Aquatics Associate/petcare Specialist), and Shaggy's Dog Wash and Grooming (bather/nail clipper).

I started “Hillier’s Critter Sitting” in 2011.

Hillier's Critter Sitting will come personally to your home to watch your pet in the environment that they are most comfortable in.

I can watch almost any pet except insects and can watch small animals at my house (sorry no cats or dogs) but would prefer to keep the pets in the environment that they are most comfortable in and watch them at your home if possible.

I also offer dog walking, nail clipping, bathing, brushing, cage cleaning, and pet photography.

Please be patient as I run on a first come first serve basis. My rates range from $10-$25 a visit or hour depending on the number of visits or hours needed and the type and number of pets. For out-of-home pet sitting, where I would take a small animal into my home to watch, the rates range from $10-$25 a day depending on the number of days and type/number of animals as well as if I have to use my own supplies or not.

Rates also vary depending on where the client is located and how much gas will be needed to reach the home or pick up/drop off a pet.

I also do small scale rescue/foster and rehoming for critters in need.
