We are a municipal Shelter and Animal Control office. We serve the City of Oswego and contract sheltering for surrounding townships.

We are not affiliated with the Oswego County Humane Society,or the Animal Welfare League. We are law enforcement for the City of Oswego. To adopt a pet you must fill out an adoption application to be approved by our staff. There is a 48 hour wait on all adoptions to give us a chance to review your application and give you a chance to think about the commitment of owning a pet. Adopted pets may not be given as gifts,out side of the household.The adoption fees vary dependent upon licensing fees and spay/neuter refunds. Dogs are brought out to view after application has been approved. Any interests of adoptions outside the local area or out of state, please contact the office by e-mail.
