Many years ago, when I (Brother Joseph L.P.) was young in the Lord I read the scripture in the book of Mark 16:15 (K.J.V.) which stated "go ye in all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature". I questioned in my mind of what the Lord meant by the verse? How can one preach to anything that is not mankind? In the process of time, I found myself in a vision of the Lord and in my right hand was a Bible. What stood before me was a dog, a cat, a horse, a cow and a man who spoke and understood only German. The Spirit of the Lord said to me three times, preach to them the Gospel. Three times my reply was Lord, thou knowest I cannot. Back from the vision the Spirit pointed to the many Scriptures that were pertaining to love, and made me know that when one is demonstrating love to every creature, they are truly preaching the Gospel. One does not have to quote chapter and verse . One only has to deal lovingly with every creature. Even a house plant responds to love.
I didn't realize it then, but the Lord was showing me what was purposed in my future. In the process of time,,, He moved me into a house with a large yard around it, and sent to me both dogs and cats that were abandoned or abused. We refuse none, no matter where they come from, no matter the breed, and no matter their age, condition, or manner. They are all God's creatures in need of the Love that comes from God through the rescue.
Knowing that all things are given of God, the name of the rescue needed a name that would be appropriate. And it became UNTO YOU I T IS GIVEN RESCUE Inc. If it was not given for them to be here, they would not be. Here, they get love, they get healthy, they get potty trained, leash trained, and in the Lord's time, they are blessed to be adopted into a new and loving home.
We do not use cages here at our rescue. Both the dogs and the cats are acclimated to a home environment, which is a blessing for their new adoptive family.

The least of my breathern
Job 12:10 "in whose hand is the soul of every living thing"
Colo. 1:15-17 "...the first born of every creature ...and he is before all things and by him all things consist"

If you are one who believes a dog or cat has no soul, then you are incorrect in your belief because every thing has a soul.

If you are one who believes that a dog or a cat does not consist of (Jesus/The word of God), then you are incorrect in your belief, because they do consist: meaning: (have their being in Him).

Matt. 25:40 "...inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren ye have done it unto me."

Colo. 3:23 "...whatsoever...do it...as to the Lord..."

All things consist of Christ, and having being in Him, in truth, dogs, cats, all living things are family in Christ. The Spirit of God revealed: they are the ones spoken of as being the least.
Mark 6:15 "...Go ye unto the world and preach the gospel to every creature."

Preaching the gospel to every creature is not giving them chapter and verse of the Bible. It is giving LOVE to every creature. When you giv love you are following the example, and teachings of Christ; who is the Word, and the Spirit of the Father, that so loved the world: (not just man, but the world); that he gave his only begotten son. John 3:16

Know that what you do to any living thing you do also unto the Lord. How can you say that you love the Lord if you abuse Him through His family, the least of His brethren?
