Panora P.E.T.S
Humanely helping the lost, unwanted, and abused pets of Guthrie County - Iowa.
P.E.T.S. (Protecting Even the Strays) was created with the vision of humanely assisting the numerous stray and feral cats in Panora, Iowa. P.E.T.S. has now grown to become a safe haven for many abused, orphaned, unwanted, and abandoned animals.
P.E.T.S. is a 501(c)(3), non-profit rescue organization consisting of many dedicated volunteers. We provide humane shelter and services for animals in need in Guthrie County and surrounding areas. While we hold a shelter license with the State of Iowa, we are not a traditional shelter. All of our dogs and a majority of our cats and kittens are in foster homes. Only cats reside at our shelter location in Panora. We also do not euthanize based on space, size, age, or illness/injury. Every animal that comes into our care is important. Every animal matters.
Through contributions from individuals and organizations, P.E.T.S. maintains its dedication to animals. Without the generous support of the community and beyond, P.E.T.S. would not be able to assist the hundreds of animals that come into our care ever year.

TABBY TUESDAY!
MEET MONGO!
Look at this boy! From his beautiful orange tabby coat to his monochromatic eyes, he is extremely charismatic π
This boy was circling a local neighborhood and finally found a house he would sit outside and meow at desperately wanting inside! We searched for how owner and no one ever came for him. He is a happy boy and continues to settle in at the shelter while enjoying safety and all the food and water he wants. He absolutely loves attention! He has ginormous paws and he is front paw declawed.
Mongo is 2-3 years old. He is front declawed neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee will be $25 in honor of tabby tuesday if you fill out an application by Friday, December 3rd. Www.panorapets.com to do so.

URGENT BARN HOMES NEEDED!
10 kitties in Warren County, near Norwalk, are in urgent need of good barn homes. Their caretaker passed away and the property just sold. They need removed by Nov 30. If they do not find rescue, they face euthanasia. πΏ
8 of the 10 have been altered and PETS would be willing to sponsor the remaining two for vet work at our clinic in Panora. The white kitty is very timid but needs a really good, safe home because her back legs are deformed.
If you would be willing to help some or all of these kitties, please contact Lia at 515-556-8767. This is a courtesy post. Please share and help these kitties find homes.

TABBY TUESDAY!
Will this big ole boy find a home for the holidays? Hurry hurry do not miss out! Oscar has his bags packed and is ready to be home. Check out his eyes, they match his puurfect buff coat πππ
Oscar was recently returned when after months and months of patience for him to acclimate to the dogs in the home he remained unhappy and fearful of them. His adopters told us he was a wonderful, fun, and friendly kitty when he was sure the dogs were not around but he was not able to be that same way with the dogs and they felt it best for him that he find a dog-free home
Oscar is 1 years old. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee will be $25 in honor of tabby tuesday if you fill out an application by Friday, November 26th! www.panorapets.com.

TORTIE TUESDAY!
How in the world do we still have Kit-T? She is exceptionally beautiful and so sweet! She is considered a dilute tortie which a cat with traditional tortoiseshell coat coloring that is more pastel and less vibrant.
Kit-T is a petite girl that has a sassy purrsonality much bigger than her physical size. She is energetic and loves attention and to do things her way. She is not a big fan of other kitties so we recommend she be the only kitty in the home. Kit-T has strong preferences as to what she likes and will tolerate and will definitely let you know what they are. She can be quite assertive and will do best with a patient adult home that will respect her preferences. (Small children are definitely not a good match for her and only older children that can respect her preferences.)
Kit-T is 1-2 years old. She is declawed, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee will be $25 if you fill out an application by Friday, November 19th. www.panorapets.com to fill app out and view full bio.
