Lucky Cats Rescue and Sanctuary (LCRS) is an ongoing, lifelong mission. We rescue abandoned dogs, cats and other animals. This site will be updated often, with stories, videos and pictures of our cats.

A. To rescue, house and care for stray and abandoned cats and dogs. Animal care shall include, but not be limited to, spay and neutering, medical and dental care, and euthanizing only in those cases where the animal's terminal illness has reached the point where the animal is suffering.

B. To provide funding to other people and organizations who are also rescuing, housing and caring for stray and abandoned cats and dogs.

C. To educate the public about the importance of spay and neutering, the many benefits of having companion animals, and the proper care of pets. The corporation's educational program will also include instruction on the actual rescuing of stray and abandoned animals, and how to handle frightened, combative cats and dogs.



LUCKY CAT RESCUE FOUNDATION is a CAGE FREE sanctuary. Our animals have free range of all buildings as well as outdoor catteries, accessible day and night and protected by wire mesh and 2x4" welded wire surroundings covered with shade cloth and tarps. Cats and dogs get to enjoy being outside while always safe from predators, traffic and other potential harm.

Our activities began in the 1980's in Napa California. We found that many companion animals had been dumped, abandoned, abused, neglected and betrayed by their "families." Cats, primarily, showed up at our house and, as our reputation for animal welfare spread, we began receiving anonymous phone calls about animals in distress. Since then, we have saved hundreds of animals. We provide testing, vaccinating, spay and neutering and forever homes for unadoptable animals and those whom no one wants or cares for. We created our non profit applications in Sept. of 2012 and received our IRS letter of acceptance in early 2013. We have sanctuaries in two states. Elk City, Kansas and N. California. Between the two locations; we have over 100 animals.
