We have more than a 20 cats in our shelter today that we are looking for indoor/outdoor homes for. These cats are not social enough to be in a home, but they would do great as barn cats, shop cats, or in an area where they can be inside and outside of a structure. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and ear tipped, and can be adopted today at no charge. They are stressed being in a shelter environment, so we would love to find them placement as soon as possible. If you are interested in giving these kitties a happy home for them, please email Adam.Whisman@kcpetproject.org or call 816-683-1383.

Chai, Mojito, Reyna, and Layla Ann are all waiting to be adopted, and you can see all of our adoptable pets at the link in our bio.
Our Black Friday Adoption Special featuring 1/2 price adoptions will begin on Friday, November 26th, but if you mention the special today, you can receive the discount early!

(Banana for scale) Adopt your very own Petite Pocket Pittie! Okay, maybe she’s not THAT small, but at 35 pounds, Miss Evie is at a lovely "smedium" size. She fits nicely underneath the table to catch any dropped scraps on Thanksgiving, making clean-up a breeze.
Don’t spend your holidays Evie-less! Come adopt her at our KC Campus for Animal Care! 🍌

Kansas City wins!
Mamba has been crowned as this week's #NnadiDog! That means that Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle, Derrick Nnadi has paid for her adoption fee!
Mamba is 4-years-old and is a Pit Bull that has been at our shelter for almost 100 days. She is sweet, energetic, and loves to cuddle. She joins in our morning playgroups and is considered tolerant of dogs. If your are interested in adopting Mamba, we would life for her to meet any other dogs in the home before adopting. A fun fact about Mamba is that she cannot get enough of tennis balls. Our staff love to spend time with her in our play yards playing fetch because of how much we know she likes it.
Now, each dog adopted through this great partnership will go home with a Nnadi Dog Ziwi Pets Pack!
Keep an eye on our social media pages to see which dog will be a #NnadiDog next!

It’s a perfect day to visit our Zona Rosa Adoption Center.
Our volunteers have been working hard on taking some the great pets on walks through the Zona Rosa shopping center.
If you see one of our amazing volunteers, give them a high five for spending their Sunday afternoon helping our shelter pets!

This past week we had a visit from 18 students from Turner Middle School. They helped clean kennels, made enrichment treats, and mixed food for our dog districts. What’s even more impressive is that they donated almost 100 pounds of dog food! Thank you to these amazing students!

Piglet has been loving his foster home and his foster parent gave us this sweet update:
"He is really starting to come out of his shell. Piglet loves to play with toys and has started staying outside his kennel overnight and during the day while I am not at home for 2-3 hours! He has done great with no chewing now that he has found chew toys and what they are for. He really is a sweet guy!"
