If you're as in love with your pup as we are you probably already have a Christmas ornament (and stocking, and cute Santa costume, etc.) for them. But really, can you ever have too many personalized pet ornaments? The answer is no. No you cannot.

This is a first for us, and it's because this lady needs special placement. We will not answer questions here, please email Sarah at SLR@mabcr.org - serious inquiries only please. For placement information please read below.

7 year old spayed female working dog. Would make a nice farm helper for smaller flock with experienced handler. Currently lives in a home with multiple dogs and cats and has helped with the flock here on the farm. Excellent companion dog, would be fine with long walks and play. House broken, well crate trained, rides well in a vehicle crated, walks beautifully on leash, and is excellent with people.

Down side is she is fearful of strange dogs and will negatively react. She needs extremely slow intros to new dogs. She also has injured her eye and doesn't have perfect vision. Even at her age, she is not for the novice handler on stock and requires someone with a little bit of experience or someone who has help in order to become a great working partner. We are NOT looking for a working home for her, we are simply outlining what her capabilities are.

The right home for this pup is one that understands that rules and parameters are the word of the day, and a home that is willing to manage their dog when needed. She will do best NOT in a neighborhood or urban area, and will thrive in a laid back, easy going country home with a fenced yard. While she does enjoy the company of her current pack, she can be an only dog.

Very excited to share with you that we've signed off on a small building for the farm that will include food storage - which will give us real food storage for the first time in our history.

As some of you know, we've stored feed in several different locations, none of them safe from spoilage, and none of them easy to keep clean and organized, so this is really huge for us!!

We've already put the deposit on the building, but would love to raise $8-10 thousand dollars in the next three months.
🐾
While that seems like a lot of money in a short period of time, you all helped us raise $15,000 last year in the same amount of time - most of that money raised was through donations of $100 or less, so we're hoping for the same generous support this year!!

Our 2022 calendars are here and they are BEAUTIFUL!! We think this years calendar is one of our finest offerings - folks have really upped their photo game and have submitted some truly wonderful photos for us to share with you. Each purchase of a calendar helps to support the pups in our care, so please consider as a gift for yourself or the border collie lover in your life!

This upcoming winter 5k will go a long way to supporting our continuing facilities improvements plans. We are taking orders for the winter 5k thought the 8th, so please consider supporting us through our 5K!!

Sarah will be sharing news of the plans of things to coming in the days ahead, we hope you follow along and can get as excited as we are about these changes. Our short term goals are already being satisfied with the new fencing, and a new feed room/shed that will be coming in January. Our long term goals will take place over the next few years and will help pull us out of our 'make do' state, and into a wonderful facility with a quarantine area, a whelping/puppy room, and a new kennel area with laundry and a dishwasher 🙂
