The Cuff and Ladder Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit human service agency providing emergency assistance to Kalamazoo County, Michigan, police officers, firefighters, other public safety personnel, and their families.


•To provide financial, emotional, or other assistance during times of hardship due to illness, injury, death, loss of home, or other hardship.
•Help those needing assistance to find and/or work with other agencies able to provide the needed emergency assistance.
•Develop, implement, and/or participate in various public service activities to foster a positive community image of the police, fire, and EMS personnel working in Kalamazoo County.


The Cuff and Ladder Fund was established as a non-profit organization in 2006 to provide financial assistance to local police officers, firefighters, other public safety personnel and their families during times of personal hardship due to illness, injury, death or other emergency. As we are entirely funded by money collected from fundraisers and donations, we rely on the generosity of individuals, organizations and businesses to continue providing much needed support. Since our inception, The Cuff and Ladder Fund provided emergency assistance to many throughout Kalamazoo County and, unfortunately, the need for assistance is ongoing
