The Mid Michigan Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe haven and compassionate care for homeless companion animals with a commitment to finding each adoptable animal a loving home.

The Mid Michigan Human Society is a 501c3 Non-Profit organization created in June of 2016 by a group of caring individuals concerned about the future of the animals in the Mid Michigan area with a focus on Montcalm County. With serious budget cuts made to our local Animal Shelter we knew there was going to be a serious lack of resources for the homeless pets in our community. With no other all species, open to the public Humane Society or Shelter we took action and decided to create a safe haven for homeless animals as well as a place where families could find a healthy loving new family member while providing many new resources to our community.

The road to Mid Michigan Humane Societies creation has been a rewarding experience for all involved, but much work is yet to be done! The Mid Michigan Humane Society is being led by several community members, all well versed in Animal Welfare Industry standards of care, animal health and husbandry as well as best practices for Animal Shelters and Humane Societies.

Currently we are in our beginning stages and starting to raise funds to secure a building site and our first years operating budget.
