Fabb Lab Rescue of Upstate NY

Fabb Lab Rescue of Upstate NY

We are located in Ballston Spa, NY. Our goals are to save and place as many Labradors as possible. FABB stands for Frankie, Brook, & Bear.

My love for Labradors started at a very young age with Captain! our black lab, who just loved us kids and would do anything(which usually got him or us into trouble) & I do mean anything for us! That loyalty can not be matched by any other and deserves to be shared by everyone!! My first lab as an adult was Brook, she was the love of my life and was just so willing to please, she picked up everything the first time I showed her, as a child I never knew how smart they also are which just made me love them all the more, I bred my girl and she gave me 5 babies, that was it I was smitten and have never looked back! I sold 4 of the pups and kept Kirby who was my big goofy guy, smart like him mommy but silly as could be. I had the great pleasure in having him in my life for 8 short years. At first I could not bear the pain of losing him after losing his mom 4 years earlier, I told myself that was it! no more dogs!, the heart break was just to hard to handle but as the days turned into weeks I could not shake the sadness I felt every single time I opened my door to Nothing!! That excited look, the unconditional love, the slobbery kisses, and the wagging of the tail, no matter how long you have been gone, what you look like, or how you smell...I craved and needed it all back in my life so badly! Then in 2011 I was rescued by my Frankie!! not only did she heal my heart she has everything I needed!!!. Last year is when I saw Bear! my first rescue he was scared thin and not sure of people, his owner had tied him to a tree and just left him there while they moved out of state! I was sickened by such an awful act and didn't think twice I emailed and with in days he was mine, not only was he too thin for a lab he was very head shy which meant he had also been beaten, it didn't take long for him to turn around, Frankie showed him how to be a house dog and I could see she loved it. It wasn't long before I knew this was also for me! In Feb I rescued Ricky 8, & Dixie 5, from the shelter, I kept Ricky as he is just a great old guy and fits right in, and placed Dixie, she is now a very happy girl living on a lake!. There is no better feeling knowing she is where she should be. I now have a mission to save and place as many Labs as possible. No one or animal should be left alone!!
