Pet Awareness and Welfare Society for San Jose Animal Care and Services

PAWS for SJACS is an all volunteer group. We work closely with San Jose Animal Care and Services and local rescues to help animals in need.

Our Mission Statement

PAWS for SJACS (Pet Awareness Welfare Society) mission is to support and work with San José Animal Care & Services to reduce the number of homeless animals and to increase awareness of the value of companion pets in the home and community. This can be accomplished through, but not limited to, promotion of educational, medical, and behavioral assistance programs.

Who We Are

Pet Awareness and Welfare Society

PAWS for SJACS is an all volunteer group. We work closely with San Jose Animal Care and Services and local rescues to help provide adoptable, homeless animals with non-routine medical care; additional aid is provided through specially funded PAWS for SJACS programs, such as spay/neuter, animal assistance projects, and community outreach.

Why PAWS?

Donations made through this website and to our group, help provide medical care to animals that have a relationship with SJACS (eg. rescued from the shelter, through ASO intervention with a case number, have an A#) and are non-hospice, non-reclaim status. Your donations provide these animals with needed medical care and help them get healthy as we find them forever homes.
