Avalon Parrots was started in 2001 as a small retail store specializing in selling products for companion parrots. Since 2003, however, helping companion parrots find a second chance at a new home has been the true mission of the store. In 2011 Avalon Parrot owner Sabra Khan founded Parrot Rescue Services, a nonprofit shelter to focus exclusively on helping companion birds, but also continues to run Avalon Parrots to help support the shelter. At the retail store you will still find top quality parrot food and supplies, but you will also find unique handmade items including cold process soap, lotion, bath salts, gourmet jams, salsas, and soup mixes. All these items and more are sold year around at the retail store and all handmade items are sold during the summer months at local farmer's markets. It is truly one of the most unique stores in the area, housing numerous companion parrots needing new homes as well as unique handmade items and parrot supplies! We also offer boarding for your companion parrot.
