You can sleep all you want. It's getting late and you might be tired, but me?? I am SO excited to finally be FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE from a shelter cage and able to run and climb and play!!!!!!! 😻
I was one of the 25 cats rescued during the Thanksgiving Shelter Run a few days ago!
I am Molly, or I might be my twin sister Meghan! Idk and, truthfully, neither do the volunteers here! 🙃 Fact is, it doesn't matter which one I am because we are only available as a pair and we are currently extremely happy to have been rescued. 😻😻
So I guess what I really want to say is thank you so much! ❤ You made two kittens very VERY HAPPY! We hope you have a good night and if you want two amazing, purry angels to join you on your journey then ask for Molly and Meghan. We are wide awake and waiting for you!

THANKSGIVING SHELTER RUN 2021!
Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time to pause and remind ourselves of our blessings. Today we celebrate the 25 new blessings we have received for our Thanksgiving Shelter Run! Twenty five beautiful, deserving beings who were in need of rescue and a second chance for a happy life.
Some of these new rescues are ready for prime time; several will need a good amount of time and medical attention to become ready for adoption. We feel thrilled and honored to be able to offer them a safe space to decompress with all the care, love and patience they need to come into their own.

When you're busy saving lives & you're met by Operation Surprise!!!

We are officially overwhelmed with abundance on this Eve of Thanksgiving!
While settling our 25 (twenty five!!) newly rescued cats into our Adoption Center tonight, we got a visit from our amazing friends, Maureen and Mike, from Home Depot in Syosset, NY!
They came with a TRUCKLOAD of needed supplies as well as a huge check from the Home Depot Foundation through their Operation Surprise program!!
We are so moved and so motivated by this incredible act of kindness and generosity!

We very often spare you the gory details of the things we see. We signed on for this and we know you did not. However, we need your help so we have to share this.
The municipal shelter we are working with this time around is completely overwhelmed with cats (over 185 of them) due to a 93-cat hoarding house they took in recently. Many of the cats from that house are permanently blind or vision-impaired becaue their eyes have been either badly damaged or destroyed due to the horrific conditions of filth and neglect that they endured there.
We've been rescuing them in increments so we can give them the best care possible.
This guy is one of several we are looking to rescue this time around. He can't see and he needs OUT so he can experience some kind of peace in this nightmare as well as medical care for his eyes.

Imagine you're completely alone, #abandoned, in a metal cage surrounded by barking dogs, and the only way to 'escape' is to somehow burrow yourself under your bed and hope to disappear!
Whenever we see a cat under a bed or blanket in a shelter cage we know immediately this is someone who needs to come with us.
