Community Cat Action Team of Greater Waco

H. O. T. Feral Friends' name was changed to Community Cat Action of Greater Waco in 2014 It has helped Central Texans with Trap-Neuter-Return since 2007.

Community Cat Action Team of Greater Waco's "Ultimate Goals" are to:
* Offer a "no-kill" humane alternative to our community through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR);
* Humanely prevent unwanted feral/stray kittens born on the streets, under porches, in bushes and behind restaurants;
* Reduce the number of feral/free-roaming cats taken to the shelter where, due to their inability to be adopted, they are euthanized;
* Train and empower community cat caregivers to TNR and manage their own colonies;
* Educate the public about the benefits of TNR;
* Mitigate nuisance calls to Animal Control with simple, inexpensive property-protecting tips;
and,
* UNIFY those who want to ensure the safety of our community without having to kill or illegally abandon healthy free-roaming cats.

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) prevents community kittens from being born because TNR cats are fixed!

TNR Cats are also better "citizens" because they get a 3-year rabies vaccination and a left "eartip" during surgery as an identifier to animal control, neighbors, and caretakers.
