Whisker Stop
Whisker Stop is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping local animals in need. We serve the Phelps County and surrounding areas, of Missouri.
To decrease the population and lessen the suffering of unwanted and feral animals in the Phelps County Missouri and surrounding areas, through spay/neuter programs and other no-kill alternatives.
What We Do:
* Offer the local community an affordable spay/neuter option. We focus on the TNR (trap neuter and release) of feral cat colonies, as well as pets of low income families.
* This lowers the population growth of feral cat colonies and unwanted pets, thereby lowering the intake and euthanasia rates at local shelters.
* We have a successful foster-based rehoming program that keeps a large number of adoptable animals out of the local shelters, thus decreasing the burden on their funds.
* In addition, we also help educate and facilitate in feral cat relocation when deemed necessary.
* We have a large established network of rescue groups, adoption venues, sanctuaries, and transporters to help with most all emergency rescue coordination efforts.
