RPNC is a volunteer run non-profit animal rescue group in Sacramento, CA. We do NOT have a shelter, and our dogs are placed in loving foster homes. We only adopt out within the Sacramento Area.

On top of rescuing dogs, we often help with other homeless pets. This means we attempt to assist homeless people with their animals (feeding, providing clothes for, vaccinating, worming and fixing) homeless people's companion animals. We also help, in as much as possible, others to place animals if we are able to. The animals we have are a mixture of dogs rescued from shelters and from private parties.

If you need help, please email helpdesk@recycledpetsnorcal.com and we can see if we can some how assist you with your dogs. Because of the cost incurred when we take in dogs, and the fact that it may takes months (or longer) and depending on whether your animal is vetted, we will charge a surrender fee. This may be waived under special circumstances, please email us if you need help. The sooner the better because we cannot usually find homes immediately so if you need to find a home for a dog within 2 days, it is unlikely we will be able to help. If you have orphaned animals (any species) we can likely help as we have several fosters with experience bottle feeding. In cases such as that, please call us at 916-668-0364 and leave a message.

We only adopt to families within the Sacramento Region. We NEVER transport dogs because we make commitments to the dogs for life. We want to make sure, in as much as possible, that they do not end up back in shelters or homeless again. You can meet our animals at our adoption events, out side of those we REQUIRE an application be filled out prior to meeting our dogs one-on-one (done as a home check). We do NOT adopt on a first come first serve basis, we want to make sure our dogs find the perfect family that suits their needs. If you are not selected for the dog you asked for, we may be able to help you find the right dog for you, your family, and your lifestyle.
