Desert Haven Animal Society is a new, open-admission no-kill animal shelter located 60 miles west of Las Vegas in Pahrump, Nevada. After the only public animal shelter in Pahrump closed its doors during the summer of 2015, DHAS stepped in to reopen a very necessary public asset as a safe haven for lost, abandoned, and surrendered animals in Nye County. DHAS is a registered nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.

DHAS strives to reduce the homeless pet population in Pahrump and surrounding areas by reuniting lost pets with their owners and by finding loving homes for all adoptable stray or surrendered pets. We also seek to increase awareness on the epidemic of pet overpopulation and to promote responsible pet ownership and care.
