We are committed to improve the life of all dogs in our area. We believe that it is our responsibility to provide and facilitate the humane treatment of these most loyal & precious of God's creatures by providing temporary shelter, necessary medical treatment, and/or foster homes for stray or abandoned animals. We desire to build a strong base of foster families & volunteers who will help rescue, foster and care for the dogs we take in. We are further committed to help find suitable forever families for the animals in the various animal control and shelter systems in our area. We are dedicated to educating ddthe public about responsible pet ownership & the importance of spay/neuter. We will encourage our community leaders to prosecute all cases of animal cruelty/neglect, and to enforce all state and local laws related to the proper care of animals. Based on Proverbs 31:8, we are committed to “Speak up for those who can’t speak for themselves” and be the voice of the animals in our parish.

This page is the result of many years of working in animal rescue, volunteering at various shelters and adoption programs, running the local lost pets page to help reconnect hundreds of lost pets with their families, rescue and/or capture strays and lost fur babies. After working with a local governmental agency to help develop a program for animal control, and being frustrated at the lack of desire and/or dedication of funds to bring that goal to fruition, I, along with some great friends who share a passion for animal rescue, have formed this 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping dogs within our reach. It is truly my believe that we are to be the voice of these precious 4-legged souls! God wants us to care for all of his creation with love and understanding. Dogs have a special place in our lives. They are the MOST loyal & trustworthy of friends. They will love us, no matter who we are or what we do. They are quick to forgive & eager to please us. Yet, when they are lost, in need, or suffering from abuse or neglect, they have no voice to ask for help. They have no feet to walk for help. They have no power to knock on our door to report it. Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday! It’s a day set aside to donate to your favorite charities. We appreciate all who donate to help us save the lives of homeless, discarded and abused pups in our area. Donations made thru FB are matched! Key to the FB giving is making it early (7am Central Time, if possible). The FB matching funds tend to get used up by large charities early. However, you can donate all day! We realize that many great causes are vying for our dollars. We so appreciate your help! We don’t receive any public monies and have no large donors. We have saved the lives of hundreds of dogs in the greater Zachary and East Feliciana parish areas in the past 4 years. Nosey Rosie is soo ready to find her furever home. She is a super sweet 5 month old catahoula mix. She weighs about 35 pounds but is still growing! She is playful and always happy. She luvs her people and all other pups. She is goofy and funny. She likes to play tug-of-war with her ropes. She loves chew toys and is oh so nosey! Her adoption fee is $150 and includes her vaccines up-to-date, spay and microchip. She requires a secure yard and a home with lots of love. She is all puppy so she needs lots of exercise and stimulation. Well Hello Dolly!! Y’all this sweet welsh corgi mix is sooo sweet. She’s about 18 months old and weighs just at 35 pounds. She has little short legs. She does great inside and is kennel trained as well. She is just a big old lump of sugar! She loves to play but also enjoys quiet time. She is HW negative. Her adoption fee is $150 and includes her up-to-date vaccines, spay & microchip. She needs her very own home but in the meantime, her foster family is leaving this weekend for Thanksgiving week so we need a temporary foster for sweet Dolly as well. Jake update. This sweet boy is quickly becoming one of our favorite pups of all time! Jake is a 33 pound, 18-24 month Boston-Pitt mix. His leg has healed and he has no problems putting weight on it. He is funny and sweet. He loves his people! He needs a home where he will get lots of love and attention. Jake needs a home with female dogs or small dogs. He does ok with other males, after a proper introduction, but prefers female companions. Jake still plays rough at times and a squirt water bottle is his sworn enemy! Lol. He has has zero aggression towards people. He is on the small side and may or may not occasionally suffer from LMS “little man syndrome” If he meets another male dog, he comes out trying to bully his way to the top dog spot, but after being properly introduced he quickly falls in line. Anyone with bully experience will understand. Jake is the cutest and sweetest dog ever. He loves sitting in his recliner and watching out of the window for squirrels to chase or playing tug of war with his best friend, Rosie. His adoption fee is $150 and includes up-to-date vaccines, neuter & microchip. He requires a home with a fence where he will be an inside pup. After trekking thru the woods and patiently sitting on the ground for an hour, finally got this injured boy to trust me and was able to get him loop leashed. He’s so tired. He’s been living in the woods for some time other side of Clinton based on the “wallow” he was in. Carried him out (all 60+) pounds of him. Made it home. He’s had a good warm bath (not sure who bathed who). He’s been deticked and dawned and is now asleep in a safe, warm crate tonight. We will meet the vet in the AM for evaluation. Can’t tell if the leg is broken or hip issue causing the limp but we will keep you all updated. Calling him “Rusty”. Please say a prayer that it will be easily fixable. He’s still very frightened but his life changes for the better beginning now. #fosterluv #rescueluv #mustluvdogsrescue🐶
