The purpose of this society is the prevention of cruelty of animals, the relief of suffering among animals, placement of animals in responsible homes, and the extension of humane education.

The Sebastian County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that depends on the community to donate and help keep the shelter running. The shelter also depends on their volunteers to help do the things that the staff members may not have time to do and also to help with fundraisers to raise money for the shelter. If you are interested in volunteering please fill out a volunteer application and attend a volunteer orientation, We would love to have you here with us at the shelter!
