Moonshadow Betta Fish Rescue is a small rescue located in Historic Highland NY in the Heart of the Hudson Valley. We specialize in the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of Betta Fish (AKA Betta Splendens or Siamese Fighting Fish)

We have space for 10 to 12 rescued bettas at any given time. Our bettas come from a variety of places and come to us with a wide range of ailments such as ammonia poisoning, ammonia burns, popeye, fin rot, missing fins, etc. We also take in surrenders from people who can no longer care for their beautiful fish any longer.

Once our rescues are healthy they are ready to go to their forever homes. We ask potential adopters to answer a couple of questions about their experience in betta care. We will either charge a small adoption fee or none at all depending on the expenses necessary to make the fish healthy again. Of course donations are always welcome.

We are willing to meet adopters up to 2 hours away from zip code 12528. We can also ship bettas to those far away for the price of shipping, $15 for priority or $35 for express for up to 2 fish.
