It is the mission of the DCSPCA to rescue, shelter, and secure permanent homes for adoptable companion animals; advocate for the highest standards of animal care; and enforce animal cruelty laws throughout Dutchess County.

The DCSPCA’s programs and services include:
• Animal Rescue and Care
• Work closely with potential adopters to find the perfect match between
human and animal
• Medical Care
• On-site low-cost Spay/Neuter Clinic and referrals
• County-wide Humane Law Enforcement
• Investigate animal cruelty throughout the county, and provide educational
programming for children and adults
• Dog Control services for the towns of Hyde Park and Pleasant Valley
• Education programs for children and families
• Training programs for law enforcement professionals
• Animal Food Bank for needy families who cannot afford to buy feed for their
pets
