How adorable is Baby Girl in her fancy pink hat?!

Our sweet girl is settling in well at her foster home. Initially, she was a bit shy and nervous but she has been coming out of her shell more and more each day! She continues to recover well after her procedure, and will see the doctor for a re-check soon.

Handsome hound dog Frisco is ready to find a forever home!

Frisco is about 2 years old, and is such a goofy, loving boy! He's got tons of energy and is still very much "puppy playful". His bark is the quintessential hound sound, and we absolutely love it! He is social, and really loves human attention. Frisco would really love a dog-savvy family willing to work on obedience training with him, as he is SUPER smart and very food motivated! An active home would also be ideal, as this dude would love to accompany you on any adventure! He is always on the go, so any photo we take will not do him justice - you just need to come to the shelter and meet Frisco yourself in order to truly appreciate his regal look!

GRIMMEL UPDATE!

We are happy to report that Grimmel has transitioned to a hospice foster home. One of AAD's former staff members who has a special place in her heart for Grimmel saw our plea, and reached out to offer help. We are SO grateful that she stepped up to give Grimmel a happy and loving home for the rest of his days! He will continue to be monitored closely, and will get the necessary medical care moving forward.

Please send all your pawsitive energy to Grimmel as he settles in with his foster family!

Our senior Cane Corso boy Rosco is checking in from his foster home to let everyone know that he has made awesome progress and is really enjoying the good life!

Initially, Rosco is shy around new people, but with the help and support from our trainers and his dedicated foster family, he is slowly learning that new people can also mean new friends! Rosco has also discovered that he may actually like having feline friends in his life, as his foster mom reports that he and her cat Jinx now even share a bed sometimes!

Rosco would love to find a forever family that is interested in giving him a quiet retirement home where they can be patient with him and understand that once Rosco trusts you, he absolutely loves you. He would be best in an adult only home, as an only dog. He has met a few dogs that he was able to spend some time with since being in foster, but would really thrive being your one and only canine best bud! We believe that Rosco can successfully live with a dog-savvy cat with proper introductions.

Beagle boy Pablo has found himself the perfect forever home! As you can see, he and his new brother Bear are smitten with each other, and they never leave the other's side! Pablo (now known as Otto) is enjoying hikes/walks, and lots of playtime, and his family says it's like it was always meant to be!

***URGENT - STILL LOOKING FOR HOSPICE FOSTER HOME ASAP***

Our 14 year old 40lb senior boy Grimmel is in immediate need of a quiet, comfortable place to relax for the rest of his days. It was recently determined that Grimmel either suffered a stroke or has a neurological issue (brain tumor is #1 suspect) which is causing him some weakness and difficulty with his mobility. He is currently on daily medication for the neurological issue, as well as for hyperthyroidism.

We know there has to be someone out there willing to give Grimmel a safe and quiet space so that he can be in the comfort of a home setting for the time he has left! Grimmel is in need of an adult only home (with minimal stairs to climb). He does fine with other mellow dogs, and doesn't pay any mind to cats. We will provide all supplies, medication, and veterinary support - all we need is someone to supply all the love that our boy so very much deserves in his golden years!

A few weeks ago, we agreed to help a Labrador named Rouster who came from a very sad situation in Georgia...

Well, Rouster has arrived, and he is officially settling in at his foster home!

So far, he is doing really well with the other dogs, and loves all people he meets. Rouster is learning that going outside for potty and play is a good thing, and that he no longer has to stay inside at all times. His foster mom reports that he is VERY sweet and gentle and an overall mellow boy.
