Meet Hector
Hector is an adorable 6-year-old fluff ball. While we don't know his real breed, we do know he has an amazing personality and just loves belly rubs.
Hector walks well on leash and seems to enjoy the company of other mellow dogs. He likely would also be fine with cats. What Hector really wants is a lap to sit in. He loves humans more than anything! The more attention the better. He will need a home that allows him on the couch and likely in the human bed to cuddle in at night.

Meet Jacob
Jacob is a sweet senior at about 13-years-old. After his beloved owner passed away, he was in need of a place to go and we are so glad he came to SAS!
Jacob required emergency surgery to remove both eyes. He has a very painful condition and the surgery provided him with immediate relief. Jacob has been making an excellent recovery and getting tons of love in a foster home!
Jacob will require a halo which will help him not bump into things around the home.
Jacob is happiest wrapped in a blanket and held in his favorite persons arms. He is truly a dog who loves to cuddle!
Jacob is fine with other dogs, cats and kids! He is a very gentle soul.
Jacob will go to the bathroom outside but may have some accidents in the home too.
This very sweet man is hoping to find a loving place for his golden years.
Let's get this guy a home for the holidays!

Meet Mamma Mia!
Mama Mia is a young, active, overall sweet girl looking for a new home. She nursed her litter of kittens and man is she relieved they have all found a home! Mama Mia doesn't seem to care for other cats (her own offspring included!) so she needs a home as an only feline. She can likely live with a dog though.
Mama Mia LOVES toys, a lot. She will play by herself just fine and can be a bit overstimulated with too much human play and petting. She is social though! She enjoys being around people. We do feel a home without children is best for her.
What makes Mama Mia special needs is that she is FeLV+. Though there is no known cure, FeLV is far from a death sentence. They have weaker immune systems, but cats who test positive for FeLV can live fulfilling and happy lives like any other cats—and can live for many years, often without harmful symptoms
Feline leukemia is a disease that only affects cats -- it cannot be transmitted to people, dogs, or other animals. FeLV is passed from one cat to another through saliva, blood, and to some extent, urine and feces. The virus does not live long outside the cat’s body -- probably just a few hours.

For the foster families - who take in those that need nurturing, love and socialization

For the children - we see so many open, giving hearts - they never cease to amaze us

SOO HAPPY for Scooby!!!!!
Giant puppy Scooby found the perfect fit! She has an extra large doodle brother and two very patient humans. She has been loving tons of long walks, her very large fenced in yard and snuggling super close with her doodle pal.

Meet Courage and Wheatly
Courage and Wheatly are an adorable pair of rabbits looking for a home together!
COURAGE is a ~4 year old neutered mini rex mix. He is on the shy side, but so gentle and sweet (not to mention handsome!). With a little patience and understanding, this guy is a professional cuddle bug. He especially enjoys the company of other rabbits. His favorite time of day is dinner time, as is apparent since he's a tad chunky.
WHEATLEY is a ~3 year old neutered Holland lop. He has quite the big personality for a tiny bunny! He loves to adventure and is incredibly food motivated - the way to his heart is definitely through his stomach, as he will prove with his strong love for greens. Wheatley likes being pet, but is a little too curious and active to settle down for a snuggle.
We recommend that rabbits be kept in a baby-gated area with easily cleanable flooring. A cost effective and easy set up is to purchase a piece of cut vinyl flooring and then place a baby gate/Xpen around it. It will give the rabbit room to hop around and learn to use a litter box. Search "indoor baby-gated rabbit enclosures" online for ideas on your setup. Including a hay rack, water bottle, hanging bowl for pellets, litter box, fleece, and chew toys will make a happy space! Your rabbit will learn to use the litter box and can have time free roaming in the home, outside of the pen too.

Meet Scrapper, Is Scrapper the best looking cat we've ever seen? Nope. But her fighter spirit and friendly nature makes her a real diamond in the rough. We truly can't tell with Scrappers age is, likely older adult/senior. This girl was found outside, very close to death and weighing less then 3 lbs.
Now up a little over 4 lbs we have hope that she has time left and a bright future! Since we will need to follow Scrappers progress, we are looking for a home up for a long term trial adoption.
Scrapper is very friendly and outgoing and likely would get along with other cats and dogs. She has a tiny touch of sass, so children would need to know her limits when it comes to petting and picking up.
We can't wait for Scrapper to get into a warm and loving home! This girl only deserves the very best.

Meet Flynn:
Flynn is an absolutely adorable pug mix with the best puppy eyes out there! At about 5-years-old he has lots of energy and loves to play but also loves to be with his person and cuddle on the couch. Flynn can be shy to start but with a few treats he is quickly your best friend. We are looking for an adult only home for this guy, some place on the quiet side.
Flynn can be near other dogs (out on walks) but prefers to live as an only pet. This guy is overall very sweet. In the right home with someone who understands shy dogs, he will be an amazing companion.

Meet Michael!
Michael is as handsome and fluffy as they come! This longhaired beauty is about 7-years-old and extremely people friendly. Michael tragically lost his owner and has been through a lot of change. He is relaxing in a foster home and has done well adapting to his new temporary home. Michael has demonstrated he does not care for other cats at all and needs to be the only one in the home. We are unsure how he would be with dogs, but it is possible he can coexist with a dog who respects his space.
