Currituck SPCA

Currituck SPCA is an organization dedicated to teaching compassion using education and good role models to impact lives of people and animals.

Currituck SPCA, was awarded the contract with the County of Currituck to operate the local animal shelter from July 1, 2014- October 31, 2015. We are no longer running the day to day operations of the shelter but are still assisting with raising money for medical needs and home placement for the animals as well as education programs.

General Information
Compassion defines everything in which The CSPCA IS.. Our scope is focused, yet affects many in a wonderfully unique way. We are all about preventing violence among school-aged children, rescuing dogs, helping to change lives of prisoners... and teaching others to do the same. We even work with parents, helping them to better relate with their children.

What's our mission?
Teaching compassion, preventing violence, and changing lives through rescued dogs. We also assist the county in finding good homes for the animals , finding fosters to prevent unnecessary euthanizing and providing funds for medical needs.

"We see a world of compassion where every living creature is valued and protected, especially the most voiceless, children and animals."

Mission

Teaching compassion, preventing violence, and changing lives through rescued dogs. Most of all we want to keep the shelter at its low kill status. That means euthanizing only the very sick or very aggressive where there is no hope of a quality life.
