The Underdogs Rescue
Rescue, Rehabilitation, Education, Advocacy, and Community Involvement
"Don't let them go. Let us know."
To rescue, protect and provide lifelong care for those animals that cannot for themselves, all while upholding an ethos of advancing public thought and involvement. Together with this mission is our hope of uniting previously discarded animals with caring, nurturing homes. Ultimately, we are helping to place good pets in the helping hands of caring people.
Who We Are
The Underdogs Rescue is a group of individuals who are volunteering their blood, sweat, and sometimes tears to help Oklahoma's unwanted animals. As our name suggests, we take in and care for the underdogs of our society, the animals that nobody else wants who would have a slim to zero chance of being adopted at a shelter. We are completely foster-based. This means compassionate folks are opening their homes and hearts to animals in need who, more often than not, come with a history of neglect, abuse, and abandonment. While in foster homes, these animals learn what it means to be a part of a loving family and are being set up for a successful transition into their new forever homes.
Advocacy and education are among our primary goals. We are creating close ties to the community, with an emphasis on education in responsible pet ownership in order to reduce the number of homeless animals in Oklahoma by increasing the number of spay and neuter procedures. Our long-term goal, however, is to establish and run a nonprofit sanctuary with a "no questions asked” policy for the drop-off of unwanted pets. Considering that rescued pets are often worse for wear, we plan to have a rehabilitation center within our sanctuary so troubled and hurt animals will be able to heal in a nurturing and loving environment.
You can help us help them and give a homeless pet a chance for a new life. Adopt, foster, volunteer, or make a donation. We rely solely on private donations, all of which are tax deductible and go directly toward the support of our fosterlings. Can we rescue and help them all? No. But if we can help some of them, then that is what makes a difference for the one who crosses our path.
We rely solely on private donations, and 100% of those go directly towards the support of our fosterlings.
All of your donations are tax deductible.
