Big Sky Ranch is an all organic ranch and farm, animal rescue/sanctuary dedicated to raising consciousness of the wellbeing of people, animals, and planet.

Our mission is to end the overpopulation, mistreatment, neglect, and ultimately, the needless killing of animals in our community and beyond.

We do this through education, aggressive TNR, spay/neuter, foster, rehoming, adoption and programs targeted at special populations in need such as ferals, seniors and free roaming mother cats.

While our focus is predominantly on felines, as they represent the greatest numbers in shelters, free roaming, and in the greatest danger of being killed, we attend to and address the needs of other high risk species such as rabbits, dogs, horses, donkeys and other often neglected and abused farm animals.

Currently we are aggressively working to drastically reduce the number of animals killed in our state. We have been successful building a coalition of small rescue groups, organizations and animal lovers, to maximize our "feet on the street" trapping cats to be spayed and neutered and released, or re-homed through our innovative "Rescue Ranch" barn cat, working cats program. We have also developed unprecedented relationships with Parish Officials and Animal Control Organizations to cooperatively achieve our NO KILL mission.
Our efforts extend far beyond our Parish, to helping organizations throughout our state, who are trying to achieve the same NO KILL mission.

Big Sky is your number one resource for farm fresh organic produce and eggs, healthy, organic prepared foods, and organic animal feeds and supplements. Hands-on activities captivate as they teach about nature, farming, food, and the environment. Programs encourage participants to think beyond the farm and consider how their own choices affect the local environment, people, animals and ecosystems around the world.
