Jackson Co. Dog Pound (Ohio) is dedicated to serving the lost & abandoned dogs of Jackson, Wellston & Oakhill. We avoid euthanasia w/ the help of rescues!!

The Jackson County Dog Pound in Jackson, OH is a county facility for the housing of unwanted and stray dogs in the Jackson County area. The pound is currently a low-kill facility that welcomes rescues. Our facility is funded solely on the sale of dog licenses and private donations. Our primary focus is to find homes for the stray dogs of our county. If space permits, we can rehome owner surrendered dogs. All of our dogs are vaccinated and cared for with love! It is not uncommon for us to have "pure bred" or "designer" dogs avail for adoption. Please consider adoption before purchasing from a pet store. And ALWAYS spay or neuter your pet.
