Pendleton Animal Welfare Shelter (PAWS) / Pioneer Humane Society

Non-Profit animal rescue operated mostly by volunteers located in Pendleton, Oregon.

The mission of the Pioneer Humane Society, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is to promote and provide humane treatment of animals through education and fostering/sheltering/adopting homeless animals. Its programs and services are administered through PAWS (Pendleton Animal Welfare Shelter). PAWS serves the community by reducing pet population through spay/neuter programs and maintains a commitment not to euthanize healthy adoptable animals.

We are open with a limited capacity and will expand as funding for more kennels and cat condos is identified. We take in the dogs from the Pendleton Pound, so space for owner surrenders is VERY limited right now. Contact us for information on low cost spay neuter!
