Happy #Caturday!

Today we wanted to give a shout our to one of our kitties that is in foster care! Beverly was shy in the shelter, but she's proving to be a charismatic and curious kitten! According to her foster:

"Beverly is just beginning to come out of her shell and show her full personality. But so far, she has a calm and gentle demeanor. She knows how to steal your heart by rolling onto her back to ask for pets. She loves belly rubs! She will also do little head rams or gently take my hand in hers to ask for pets. It is completely irresistible. She is curious and alert but has not quite figured out how much fun cat toys can be. Maybe they're just not her style. Every day though, she opens up a little more as she gets more comfortable and has begun to explore her environment more. As I type this, she is keeping me company and sticking her head in and out of my slipper. She has also begun nipping a little but it is gentle."

Announcing the our newest design.... We are bringing back our Vintage Logo for a limited time!

Founded in 1874, Morris Animal Refuge has a long, rich history of rescuing animals in need. In honor of the upcoming 25th anniversary of our biggest fundraiser of the year, the Fur Ball, we reached back into the archives to rediscover some Morris history! This vintage logo was found amongst old news clippings, appeals, and other memorabilia that go as far back as the 1800s. If you look closely, you'll see that the design replicates the round brickwork and circular gate on the front of the shelter!

This design will be on sale, along with some of our favorites from the past until November 29th! They should all arrive in time for Christmas.

What do all of these cats have in common?

They are each in foster care, through Morris animal refuge. Our foster program is always growing, and we want to make sure we provide our foster parents with all the supplies they need to provide the best care for their animals!

Currently, we are in need of wet and dry food for both cats and dogs, specifically Hills Science Diet. For #5dollarfriday, we are asking for donation from our Amazon Wishlist, which can be found via the link in our bio.

If you'd like to join our dedicated community of fosters, please fill out our Foster Questionnaire and a staff member will contact you (link in bio) . We will complete foster counseling with you before you bring home your first MAR foster pet, so that we can get to know each other and figure out which animals you can help us save!
