Hampshire Greyhound Rescue

We are a non-registered not-for- profit organisation who care for the welfare of Greyhounds in the Hampshire area.

To Rescue and Re-home ex-racing Greyhounds at the end of their racing careers, and to promote the adaptability of Greyhounds to transform themselves into lovable household pets!

The Hampshire Greyhound Rescue is most fortunate to have the well known nature presenter Chris Packham as their patron.

The day to day running of the charity was until recently undertaken by Mark and Lynda Hudson who for a number of years had run the Andover branch of the Retired Greyhound Trust.

Lynda and Mark’s interest in greyhounds stemmed from Molly, sadly no longer with us, who was found wandering the streets of Portsmouth and was rescued by the RSPCA.

Molly was as every greyhound owner would say,

“The best greyhound in the world”

Through her gentle loving nature Molly was instrumental in helping 650 other greyhounds find a home.

If you choose to rehome a greyhound we can guarantee that you will have the most wonderfully gentle, adaptable and affectionate dog, which will reward you with faithful and appreciative companionship, every day of its life.

Remember we are here to support and help all owners whether it be in the early days when your greyhound comes home or in the future.

Hampshire Greyhound Rescue could not work without our helpers, supporters and people who have rehomed greyhounds to spread the message of what wonderful pets these creatures make and we are so very grateful for their help and support.
