East Texas Tortoise, Lizard & Ball Python Rescue

East Texas Tortoise & Reptile Rescue located in Livingston Texas is a 501c3 Non Profit Corp. We offer rehoming services for reptiles and tortoises.

Sometimes circumstances are beyond control and cause us to have to give up our loved pets. When the need arises, you want to assure that the best home is found. East Texas Tortoise & Reptile Rescue (ETTRR) is here to help!

We are a small non profit completely ran from home. We have facilities for nearly 50 reptiles. Our primary focus is on the relocation of sulcata tortoises from colder climate states to new homes in East Texas.

We offer permanent housing solutions for reptiles and tortoises (both large and small breeds). We specialize in African spurred thigh (sulcata), aldabras and red foot tortoises. We also specialize in reptile breeds such as Iguanas, bearded dragons, geckos, ball pythons, monitors, etc. We not only house and care for these reptiles, but we do an intense home screening before placing any animals.

We have a large outdoor tortoise area. All separated and designed so that each tortoise may have its solitude.

Our reptiles are housed in doors and given proper care. We do not house venomous or native species at this time.

You may rehome your animal with no questions asked. Your animal will be cared for properly and matched with the perfect forever home.

We do pick up (or in some cases have the approved new home pick up).

Adoption: You must be over 21 years old or have parents written permission. Please do not attempt to adopt if you are not prepared to give this animal a forever home. Email us for an application.

Due to the over breeding of animals such as sulcata tortoises.. There are many people that bought hatchlings from petshops, but after a few years realize they can not house them. These animals outlive us, and sometimes get up to 200lbs. Backyard breeders do not inform buyers of this. The price has got down so low on these hatchlings that people buy them in bulk. But in years to come, see they can not handle these animals. Please do not buy, if you are looking for a new sulcata, search your local rescues first!

We are a 501c3 Non Profit registered with the state of Delaware & Texas. All donations and adoption fees are tax deductible. We are incorporated under HGN Music & Education Foundation. You can find our non profit corporation status online by searching for HGN Music & Education Foundation.
