Establish an animal shelter in North East PA.
Rescue and re-home unwanted, abandoned, neglected and abused domestic animals. All animals will be vet-checked, vaccinated and altered (age appropriate) before going to their new home.
Promote educational programs that address the importance of responsible pet ownership and respect for living things.
Aid victims of domestic abuse in finding temporary shelter for their pets while they are seeking sanctuary elsewhere.
Aid the elderly, handicapped and in-firmed by sheltering their pets should they have to be hospitalized or rehabilitated.

We are one of the rescue groups in the area whose volunteers take homeless and abandoned pets into their own homes until a suitable permanent home is found. Personally caring for these pets allows us to better judge the character of the animals for future placement. However, there never seems to be enough room for all of the pets who are losing their homes....
