Building a community where all animals are treated humanely, and every pet has a loving, forever home.

Leavenworth County Humane Society, Inc. provides the animal welfare focal point for all of Leavenworth County.
-Conducts humane education for schools and community groups.
-Supports spay/neuter services to reduce the number of homeless animals and enhance the health of homed animals
-Works to improve animal protection laws and their enforcement.
-Assists in emergency planning and action for animals. (Future)
-Supports law enforcement with cruelty and neglect investigations. (Future)
-Cares compassionately for stray,abandoned and relinquished animals in a pro-life state-of-the-art shelter (currently in a temporary facility) and licensed foster homes.
