Caribbean Animal Rescue Effort (C.A.R.E.) is a non-profit organization with a mission to raise funds and obtain grants to assist animal rescue groups throughout the islands of the Bahamas and the Caribbean and address the needs of the overwhelming number of stray and abused animals. C.A.R.E. will help fund spay and neuter projects and the transport of adopted animals to the United States, Canada and other countries. Funds will also be used to pay for the care of animals that must remain on the islands. Grants will be sought to build sustainable animal shelters, raising fruits, vegetables , chickens, goats and other flora and fauna to support the maintenance of the facilities.
