PAWS R US (SA) focuses on EDUCATION, RESCUE, NETWORKING & RE-HOMING. We specifically focus on the plight of abandoned, unwanted or 'threatened' dogs, and we operate in the Gauteng area, (Johannesburg), South Africa.

PAWS R US (SA) was founded in 2011 and we have made use of private rescue kennels to date to house our orphans. As from November 2017, the PAWS R US (SA) family will move onto a site that allows us to place our beloved orphans into communal runs with their own houses and lots more room to stretch their legs. It is our intention to build a PAWS HAVEN on this site.

At present, PAWS R US (SA) has just under 200 rescued dogs in our care. We are a PRO-LIFE rescue organisation and work hard to ensure that those entrusted to us, have quality of life.

NOTE: The PAWS R US (SA) team have full-time employment given the realities of scarce funding in animal welfare. We have a team of guardians who are responsible for the care of our orphans while we are not on site. The full PAWS R US (SA) team is in action on weekends. Therefore, we ONLY TAKE VISITS BY APPOINTMENT DURING THE WEEK. And, we are OPEN ON SATURDAYS and on occasional Sundays for visits by the public - 10h00 to 15h00.
